Globe Valve

The SGON Flanged End Globe Valves is a forced seal valve, so when the valve is closed, pressure must be applied to the disc to force the sealing surface to leak. When the medium enters the valve six under the valve disc, the resistance that the operating force needs to overcome is the friction force of the stem and the filler and the thrust of the pressure from the medium. The force of the valve is larger than the opening of the valve, so the diameter of the stem is large, otherwise the valve stem bending will occur.

When the globe valve is opened, the opening height of the disc is 25% to 30% of the nominal diameter, and the flow rate has reached the maximum, indicating that the valve has reached the full open position. Therefore, the full opening position of the globe valve shall be determined by the stroke of the disc. Valves of this type should be installed horizontally in pipes. The globe valve has the advantages of simple structure, convenient manufacture and maintenance, small working stroke, short opening and closing time, good sealing performance, small friction force between the sealing surfaces and long service life.

SGON Y Type Globe Valves is suitable for cutting or connecting medium on the pipes of various working conditions such as the nominal pressure of PN1.6 to 6.4Mpa, the working temperature of -29 to 550Degree C, such as oil, chemical, pharmaceutical, chemical fertilizer, electric power industry and so on. Suitable medium is water, oil, steam, acid medium, etc. The operation methods are: manual and pneumatic.

The Forged Cryogenic Globe Valves refers to the valve that the shut-off valve (valve) moves along the center line of the valve seat. According to the moving form of the disc, the change of the valve seat opening is proportional to the valve stroke. Because the valve stem opening or closing the stroke is relatively short, and has a very reliable cutting function, and because the change of the valve seat opening is proportional to the stroke of the valve, it is very suitable for the adjustment of the flow. Therefore, this type of valve is very suitable for cutting or regulating and throttling use.

​Once the globe valve is open, there is no contact between the seat and the disc sealing surface, so the sealing surface is less mechanically worn. Since most of the seats and discs of the globe valve are easier to repair or replace, the valve does not need to be removed from the pipeline, which is welded to the valve and pipeline. An integral occasion is applicable. The flow direction of the medium changes as it passes through such valves, so the flow resistance of the globe valve is higher than that of other valves.

​T-type globe valve is the most commonly used one. The flow resistance produced by the zigzag passage of this valve body is the highest in all the above forms. T-type valve body has low flow characteristics and high pressure drop. It can be used for fast throttling, on bypass of control valve. The T-type valve body can also be used in the occasions where only throttling is required without considering the pressure drop.
